Workshop Description

This transformative workshop is designed to help Black women identify, understand, and begin healing generational trauma. Passed down through familial, societal, and historical systems, these patterns of pain often show up as anxiety, hyper-independence, self-silencing, or feelings of unworthiness. This space offers education, reflection, and culturally-affirming strategies to break cycles of emotional pain and reconnect with inner resilience. Through guided exercises, collective dialogue, and therapeutic insight, participants will begin rewriting inherited narratives and reclaiming their power.

About the Creator

Hi, I’m Ashley Peterson, LPC, ADHD-CCSP, therapist, educator, and creator of Millennial Eclectic Therapy® (MET). I’ve spent my career supporting individuals, couples, and fellow clinicians in navigating the intersections of identity, mental health, and culture in today’s world. My approach blends clinical expertise with curiosity, compassion, and a commitment to honoring lived experience. I created these workshops to share the tools, reflections, and frameworks I’ve seen transform lives. By offering them as downloadable, self-paced resources, my goal is to make meaningful, practical guidance accessible beyond the therapy room—whether you’re a clinician seeking continuing education or someone invested in your own growth. At the heart of my work is one belief: curiosity creates clarity. These workshops are designed to help you ask better questions, build intentional habits, and move toward lasting change.
